We had tossed up the idea of either hiring contractors to remodel the kitchen versus doing it ourselves. At first, I was like - where do you want me to sign? - but then after careful consideration and a look at our budget, we decided to tackle the project ourselves.
Most of the vegetables that I planted at the beginning of summer have either finished growing for the season or are close to it. I am just waiting for the larger tomatoes to turn red, and then I will harvest the last of my basil and will eat nothing but Caprese salads for the rest of the summer.
Here's a little update on my backyard edible garden project. I had every intention on building thousands of planter boxes, hanging raspberry vines from the roof, using every workable space for this garden, but it turns out that I actually want a bit of space in my backyard to lounge and sip margaritas lemonade in the sun.
